Terms of Service (Nudgee College Staff Learning Platform)

By accessing the St Joseph’s Nudgee College Staff Learning Platform, users agree to comply with the following Terms of Service. These terms apply to all employees, contractors, volunteers and authorised users of the platform.

1. Purpose of the Platform

The Staff Learning Platform is provided to support professional learning, compliance obligations and capability development across the College. The platform forms part of the College’s governance, risk, child safeguarding and workforce development systems.

2. Conditions of Use

Users must:

Access the platform using their allocated College credentials and maintain the confidentiality of login information.
Complete mandatory training as directed to meet legal, regulatory and College requirements.
Ensure all information submitted (including declarations, licences, Blue Card details and learning records) is accurate, current and truthful.
Use the platform in a manner consistent with College policies, EREA policies and Australian and Queensland legislation.
Misuse of the system may be addressed in line with College procedures and codes of conduct.

3. Privacy and Data Management

The collection and handling of personal information in the platform is governed by:

the EREA Privacy Policy
the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth)
Queensland privacy expectations for non-state schools
the Child Safe Standards and related reporting obligations
Nudgee College internal governance, risk and compliance procedures.

Training records, personal details, licences and Blue Card–related information may be used to demonstrate legislative compliance, accreditation, WHS obligations and safeguarding requirements.

4. Child Safety and Regulatory Compliance

As a regulated child-related environment, platform users acknowledge their obligations under:

Working with Children (Risk Management and Screening) Act 2000 (Qld)
Working with Children (Risk Management and Screening) Regulation 2020 (Qld)
Child Safe Standards (National Principles and Queensland model)
Child Safe Organisations Act 2024 (Qld) (effective 1 January 2026)
Relevant EREA and Nudgee College safeguarding policies.

Training assigned under these frameworks must be completed within required timeframes.

5. Acceptable Use & Conduct

Users must not:

Upload unlawful, inappropriate or unauthorised material.
Share copyrighted content without permission.
Interfere with platform security, performance or availability.
Use the platform for non-College business purposes.

6. Record Keeping and Compliance Evidence

Completion records may be:

retained in accordance with Nudgee’s Records Management Framework and Queensland retention requirements
accessed by authorised College personnel
used as evidence during audits, accreditation reviews or compliance reporting.

7. System Availability and Support

While the College takes reasonable steps to ensure continuous access, availability may be affected by maintenance or technical issues.

8. Acceptance of Terms

By continuing to use the Staff Learning Platform, users acknowledge and accept these Terms of Service and agree to comply with all College and EREA policies referenced herein.
